New Miniature UV Lens  

Universe Kogaku has just released our unique Miniature UV Quartz  Lens.
 
Unlike anything else on the market, this lens features 9.0mm focal length with an F/number of 2.8. More importantly, this lens is packaged in the popular M12 x 0.5 pitch threaded barrel.
 
The lens is designed to image up to a 1/2 ” format sensor with 100 lp/mm center resolution, with full transmission down to 260nm. M13 x 0.5 filter threads are provided to mount  user supplied band pass filters. Call for more details.

Nikon T-mount Adaper

Universe now offers a T-mount to Nikon F adapter and a Nikon F type camera side (female) bayonet mount.The T adapter will fit all Universe T-mount quartz lenses allowing use on popular DSLR cameras with the Nikon F type lens mount.

The camera side bayonet mount will be of interest to developers and producers of specialty digital cameras wanting to incorporate the popular Nikon F mount. Both parts are in stock for immediate delivery.

C-Mount for 19mm Lenses

Now, a convenient way to mount our Hi-RES lenses on your C-mount camera. The new SC-CM19 holder will clamp snugly on the 19mm straight barrel and allow secure mounting with easy focus adjustment. With over fourteen individual focal lengths and assorted F/numbers in the Hi-RES lens family you are sure to find a combination for your application. The SC-CM19 is compatible with all C-mount extension tubes and other accessories and is in stock now.

Ultraviolet and InfraRed Band Pass Filters

Universe now stocks Ultra-violet and Infra-red band pass filters for use with our UV Quartz lenses.

We have 25, 49, and 55mm filter thread mounts to fit our entire UV lens family. They are available from stock in U-330, IR-83 and IR-76 styles.

Prototyping Mounts for Omnivision

Universe Kogaku America has introduced a new line of prototyping mounts, compatible with the popular OMNIVISION line of CMOS detectors. Mounts are available for the 11.43mm X 11.43mm, 14.2mm X 14.2mm and the new 4.93mm X 4.76mm packages. With M9, M10, M12, M13 and M8 thread options in stock, these mounts are ideal for small-runs and prototyping purposes. We also offer mounts to fit on the Point Grey Dragonfly camera with M9, M10, M12, M13 and M8 thread options. Virtually any lens mounting thread can be accommodated with 2-day turnaround. 35mm for 1" Format

Universe introduces a newly designed 35mm F/1.6 CCTV lens for 1" (16mm) format sensors. These lenses are available from stock in C-mount style. The 3516UK features a macro function that will allow focus as close as 150mm. The 3516UK2 has lock down screws to maintain focus and iris positions. These lenses minimize distortion at less than 2% and resolve 80LP/mm center and 32LP/mm corner. Both lenses are MgF2 coated. Please contact Universe for drawings and prices.

New Mounts for CCD Lens Assemblies Improve Camera Design and Performance

Universe Kogaku introduces the new BO1 and BO2 Lens Mounts for Universe CCD Lens Assemblies. Applicable for OEM use in security, machine vision, multimedia and related vision products, the mounts fit most popular CCD footprints, and aid in improving camera design, performance, mounting ease and reliability.

Both the BO1 and the BO2 measure 18.8mm x 17.4mm, with an internal recess for the CCD of 17.0 x 14.0 x 5.0mm deep. The BO1 has a M12 P=0.5 lens thread, and the mount rises 15.0mm from the mounting surface. The BO2 has a M13 P=1.0 lens thread, and the mount rises 9.0mm from the mounting surface. Both are flange mounts, requiring two small screws, and are constructed of black Delrin plastic to enhance durability.

The BO1 and BO2 are priced at $3.50 per mount in sample quantities, and are available from stock for immediate delivery.

The ruggedized lens assemblies feature compact, all-aluminum barrel construction, 6 element, all-glass lens design, and 43.3mm sensor coverage. Model P/N EL-50 is a 50mm F/2.8-16 lens assembly, 35mm long x 42mm diameter. It features a 6 leaf adjustable iris with locking screw, and an M39 x P=1.0 "Leica" mounting thread. Universe Kogaku Re-Introduces the Right Angle CCTV Lens to Offer an Alternative to Front Surface Mirror Lenses

Universe is happy to re-introduce the right-angle CCTV lens. Featuring a C-mount the lens is 6.5mm focal length F/1.4 and will cover 2/3" format sensors. What makes this lens unique is the use of a prism for right angle bending, a step up from the cheaper front surface mirror types currently available. This lens may be just what you need for your surveillance or machine vision application.
